Selected Inspiration｜Drumshanbo Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey｜ Other Products

Drumshanbo Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey is the flagship whiskey from The Shed Distillery in Drumshanbo, County Leitrim, better known for Gunpowder Irish Gin. It is distilled in copper pot stills from an unusual mash of malted barley, unmalted barley and Irish oats, a nod to old Irish recipes, and matured in bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks before bottling at 43% ABV (86 proof). The oats give it a velvety, creamy texture. Honey and orchard fruit lead on the nose, followed by the peppery spice that defines pot still whiskey, a touch of dried fruit from the sherry wood, and a smooth, medium-long finish. It is approachable enough for newcomers to the style and interesting enough for enthusiasts. This 750ml bottle is an excellent introduction to single pot still Irish whiskey from one of the country's most creative distilleries.
